Permanent casting call

This project is nothing without the people who allow me to photograph them.

I try to capture images that feel timeless, evocative and somewhat raw and I gravitate towards those that suit that kind of imagery. In practice, that means that I only ever work with people who are happy to be photographed without make-up and that have a fairly natural look. More importantly than that, I value being able to work with individuals who also enjoy exploring the creative process, like digging deep and depicting something genuine and heartfelt during shoots.

The shoots that lead to these images are usually nestled in conversation and are collaborative in nature. I work exclusively with temperamental old film cameras and prefer being able to work in an unhurried and easy-going manner and collaborate with others who also enjoy carving out some time for a relaxed shoot. In my experience, this doesn't align particularly well with the approach most professional models (understandably) take so i tend to work with creative individuals who enjoy doing shoots for reasons other than monetary gain. I can guarantee, however, that you will receive a strong series of carefully crafted images in return for your time and effort.

I am interested in individuals of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience. As the majority of images in my portfolio have an element of nudity, I should mention also that whilst I love collaborating with those for whom it is natural to do nudes, nudity is not at all expected or necessary.
